Promoting the enhancement of logistics capabilities throughout the country and overseas
The Kokubu Group continues working to enhance logistics by establishing comprehensive logistics centers that deal with processed, chilled, frozen and fresh food products. We organically connect them with the transportation and delivery network, thereby fulfilling the intermediate distribution function on a national and regional basis. At the same time, we are working to enhance quality while promoting the standardization of our logistics operations and systems.
In addition, we have built up logistics and cold chain in new overseas markets, including those of China, East Asia and Southeast Asia, utilizing our logistics capabilities and know-how in Japan. In doing so, the Kokubu Group is aiming at further growth on a global scale.
Establishing the efficiency model of logistics to reduce our environmental impact
The Kokubu Group is also promoting greater logistics efficiency with the aim of reducing any harm done to the environment. Through an optimum combination of people, machinery and IT, we have realized standardized logistics operations and quality management while fulfilling our social responsibility.
In addition, we were among the first to adopt the One-Order, One-Delivery (3OD) system that embodies the concept of acceptance of orders and delivery in one go and have established a model which is now the industry standard. We are now aiming to establish a new industry standard model for for collaborative logistics / delivery, and realize overall optimization of the distribution industry by promoting further efficiency.
