Exercising SCM functions with high value-added logistics
Achieving optimized logistics matching customer needs

We pursue the optimum for each customer with three types of logistics centers.

To optimize logistics, which are at the core of our supply chain consolidation (SCC) strategy, we at Kokubu are working for efficient operation with three types of logistics centers. Our general-purpose and store format-specific distribution centers exercise high-quality logistics functions by building optimal combinations of personnel, hardware, and IT for operations accommodating plural customers. Our dedicated third party distribution centers apply the one-order, one-delivery (3OD) system, and were among the first to put the 3OD concept into practice. We are equipping the centers with full-line DC/TC functions spanning several business fields (e.g., processed foods, alcoholic beverages, confections, and general merchandise) and striving to develop logistics functions whose development was grounded in the retail store.

We achieve high-grade logistics endowing distribution with more additional value.

Besides optimizing them, Kokubu is equipping itself with logistics functions adapted to sales plans in the retail industry in order to assist the preparation of stores wanted by consumers. We are building a setup to help stores realize their full potential by providing both consumers and retailers with the requisite products in the requisite quantity and at the requisite time. We are providing high value-added logistics in the flow from manufacturer to wholesaler and that from wholesaler to retailer and consumer, and fully exercising our supply chain management (SCM) capabilities. In this way, we are pursuing a new form of logistics helping all of our customers to prosper.
